About Us

CECEP Wind-power Corporation (CECWPC) is a state-owned joint-stock company, with China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) as its majority shareholder and National Council for Social Security Fund, China Development Bank Capital and China Everbright Limited as its minority share-holders. Formerly established and wholly-owned by CECEP in response to the national policy of constructing a resource-saving and environment-friendly society and accelerating the development of renewable energy, as well as the strategic objectives of CECEP’s main business development,  CECWPC was founded in January 2006 specializing in development, investment, management, construction and operation & maintenance of wind power projects.

CECWPC has 11 wholly-owned and controlled subsidiaries. They are CECEP Wind Power (Zhangbei) Co.,Ltd., CECEP Wind Power O&M (Zhangbei) Co.,Ltd., CECEP (Zhangbei) Wind Energy Co., Ltd., CECEP Wind Power (Xingjiang) Co.,Ltd., CECEP Wind Power (Hami) Co.,Ltd., CECEP (Gansu) Wind Power Co., Ltd., CECEP (Subei) Wind Power Co., Ltd., CECEP (Inner Mongolia) Wind Power Co., Ltd., CECEP HKC Wind Power (Zhangbei) Co., Ltd., CECEP HKC Wind Power (Zhangbei) Co., Ltd.. CECWPC is also the shareholder of Inner Mongolia Huhhot Pumped-storage Power Co.,Ltd.. The total capacity both installed and under construction has reached 1900 MW. CECWPC has become one of the major players in the wind power sector in China as the largest wind power developer in Zhangbei Bashang, Hebei province and Hexi Corridor, Gansu province and with more projects in the pipeline in the most windy areas, such as Xinjiang, Gansu, lnner Mongolia, Hebei, Jilin, Heilongjiang and the coastal areas like Jiangsu and Zhejiang,Fujian and Hainan provinces in China.

In 2006 CECWPC succeeded in the bidding for the 200MW Wind Power Concession Project in Danjinghe, Zhangbei, Hebei province, the start-up project of the first 1 GW wind power base in China. In 2007 CECWPC won the bid for the 200MW Wind Power Concession Project in Changma,Yumen, Gansu province, another start-up porject of the first 10GW wind power base in China. The company has earned a high visibility and established a good corporate image.
